A catch-all feature that is enabled for a particular mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital in case you are running some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam email messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only legitimate emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without any effort in case you have a shared website hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet amazingly user-friendly, and it will allow you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be displayed alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one you’ll notice a small "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking it once again will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled without any effort if you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will find a small-size logo handily located directly next to each one. With only one click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature using the context menu that will show up. If any of the conditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
